Make your Farmhouse truly a house of your dreams… Here’s How!

We live in the era of capitalism where the poor are stranded by the road and the elite roams in fancy cars. An era, where opportunities are present for those who are hardworking having social standings. Homes, cars, luxury lifestyles are just to name a few. One more thing that is becoming a trend nowadays is the culture of having a farmhouse. We have put yourselves so deeply into our day to day lives that the little things that we enjoyed in our childhood have left us craving.

Farmhouses are usually bigger in sizes to have all the necessary facilities homes cannot provide due to limited space. You might remember wandering into fields of fruits and vegetables in childhood, playing cricket, football and enjoying swimming in canals, etc. other than homes. Farmhouses give us the luxury to grow such things widely and have all the luxuries one wishes for.

Thus, they have to look best. For that, the interior is the most important thing. Let us show you what you should do to bring your farmhouse chicer:

Farmhouses provide you with the luxury to add various touches in different places. Space gives you the autonomy to be inventive. The antique touch would engage any visitor as many people have forgotten their culture. Be it animal skin, wood furniture, old textured sofa cloth and design, and chairs, etc. Be innovative!

People have started having kitchen bar counters in their homes but this style can never beat the look what farmhouses kitchens have. Add interesting stools and hanging lights showcase its beauty.

A farmhouse is empty without having a lavish reading room. Unfortunately, a lot of necessary things takes place in homes that leave minimal space to place books. Fulfill that desire by having a reading room to add diversity and charm to your farmhouse.

Bedrooms are an essential part of the house but when it comes to farmhouses, it has to be super comfortable, luxurious and lavish. Here is what you ought to do to make it look chicer.

Never forget to miss an important chunk of a farmhouse. This is something that normal houses can never offer but farmhouses give us the luxury to have this in them.

Looking to buy a Computer Table? Get the best ideas and inspirations here!

If you often spend time using a computer at home, having the right computer desk on which to display and use your machine can be crucial, not least given that this can help to ensure your comfort when you are spending many successive hours typing away.

Here are some tips for choosing the right computer desk.

  • Consider your own priorities

You might already have good ideas for what you would like in a desk. You might be eager to ensure that it is durable and thus capable of withstanding regular, heavy use over a long period of time. A pleasing design could be a big priority for you, too – as could a relatively low price.

Nonetheless, you may later find that as your search for the most suitable computer desk intensifies, some of these priorities are worth dropping, as some features might not be so necessary after all.

  • Measure where you intend the computer desk to go

If you are thinking of a particular space in which to place your desk, measure the dimensions of the space before you start shopping for a desk. If you are inexperienced with measuring in this way, you could sit in a standard chair and record the floor-to-knee distance.

Allow for a further six-to-eight-inch clearance space, and you will have an approximate idea of the necessary leg room and optimal desk height. You could then consider both factors as you examine the dimension data in the product descriptions for different computer desks on our site.

  • Prioritize functionality over style

Here at Meeshan, we are proud to offer computer desks that come in various colors and forms to meet many different aesthetic preferences and practical requirements. For instance, our three-drawer Spencer wooden computer

A desk is a good choice for vintage settings, while we also stock an aluminum-and-glass Hadley computer desk that could fit neatly into the corner of a home office.

However, all the while, you should remember that how your chosen desk functions are always more vital than how it looks. You may, for example, resist opting for a computer desk of an unorthodox layout if you feel that getting used to it would prove too difficult, if not impossible, for you.

Interior Tips for Contemporary Pakistan Homes.

Ever walked into a room and instantly got a good vibe? A room that’s well put together is no accident. While the contents of any room are unique to each person, at its core, home décor is based on a set of sensible guidelines, if not rules. Here are some of them.

Green Upgrade:

In this era of apartment living, gardens are the stuff of dreams and nostalgia. But that doesn’t mean you can’t bring home a splash of green inside your home. Think balcony garden or if not that, then easy-maintenance indoor plants like peace lilies, ferns, and succulents.

You don’t have to restrict plants to your living spaces: add some to the bedroom, study, or even the loo – they do plenty to purify the air. The tall and spiky snake plant is a natural air purifier and it grows to fit the space it has. This makes them the perfect fit for any awkward-to-fill spots. You could also consider making your own terrarium and using it as a centerpiece for your coffee table.

Use negative space:

We have a habit of collecting things – return gifts we can’t find a use for, things bought on impulse, souvenirs collected during travels… That’s perfectly fine, but what’s not okay is the haphazard way in which we choose to display these: stuffed any which way into showcases.

When it comes to beautiful displays, not filling up space is very important.

If you find your display shelf is getting ho-hum looks, intersperse your collectibles with plants, books or even a small-sized lamp. This will break the monotony of a conventional linear arrangement. You could also experiment with color-blocking and themes.

Make Room for alternatives:

Outsized furniture is a thing in most Pakistan homes. That large, plush, faded sofa is probably taking up half the living room, but it’s so comfortable and houses so many lovely memories, you don’t want to let it go.

This is where thinking out of the box will help. Keep that can-never-part-with-it piece as a permanent fixture and plan the rest of the room around it. In the case of the overstuffed sofa that leaves no room for a proper coffee table, consider alternative interior décor ideas. For instance, a set of nested side tables that can be brought out at will.  Ottomans with firm cushions can also double as coffee tables.

Or if there’s a large double bed that leaves little room in the room, add storage drawers underneath to get some extra storage space. You could also replace floor-standing study tables and dressers with wall-mounted ones to make use of.

Balance the elements:

We often find ourselves with dark wood furniture that has been in the family for generations. A great way to infuse them into your current décor is to furnish the rest of the space with upbeat, light colors to diffuse the heaviness. Bright linens, rugs, and upholstery work well for this arrangement. If you have a set of antiques– separate and place them in different rooms.

Prepare for guests.

Visitors tend to catch you off guard because ‘they were in the neighborhood’. Instead of succumbing to mad panic when the doorbell rings, keep things in their place and be prepared for surprise visits. Here are some tips that always work:

  • Have an entryway rack or chest for keys, wallets, bills, and other things you have in your pockets on your way in and out.
  • Invest in furniture with secret storage compartments where you can put away things in a hurry
  • Create a 5-minute tidy up routine and go through it every night before turning in
  • A sofa bed is a great choice for those whose friends stay over often. If you have elders or relatives staying over, have a guest room at the ready – don’t use it as a place to dump the laundry you were too lazy to fold.

Make the most of your small Bedroom with these Furniture Arrangement Tips

Of all the rooms that you might consider “too small”, the bedroom isn’t the worst one to deal with. Despite the obvious storage issue, you don’t need too much extra space here (just hold your dance parties elsewhere).

Small spaces have their own significance and beauty, provided that you do the decor and furniture arrangement properly. However, the flow of movement and a serene feel are important, so here are some tips and ways to arrange a seriously small bedroom.

The layout of your small home Bedroom can be like this; bed centered under a large window, bedside table on each side with just enough room to squeeze by, and an open wardrobe on the opposite wall. If there’s no door swing to worry about on the wardrobe, you can manage to squeeze in a chest of drawers between, but it might be a tight fit.

In most cases, we’d all like symmetrical bedrooms with easy access to both sides of the bed, if only for easy changing of sheets. This kind of symmetry will also make a bedroom feel more spacious. To make it possible, size down on the bedside table and think height, rather than width, for your storage.

Another option that you can consider is that instead of two, you can use one bedside table. If you’d still like to keep your access on both sides of the bed then you can go for a chest drawer on the other side. This will add a less symmetrical feeling but will provide you ample of space for your entryway and wardrobe doors to swing open at full capacity.

A matching bedside table and chest of drawers would make this feel more considered.

Sometimes there’s only one viable wall for a bed to sit on, and it’s too short for bedside tables at all. In this case, you can purchase a bed that has a built-in overhead shelf. This not only solves your storage problems but looks pretty good as well. If you add wall mount lights underneath the shelf, with chest drawers and wardrobe tucked in the corner of the room.

Here’s an option for those of you lucky enough to have a dedicated closet, but not much actual bedroom space. Here, in this case, the bed is tucked in a corner under the window, using the window ledge as a bedside table. There’s just enough room alongside it for a pair of chests of drawers and a cool wall sconce as a bedside lamp.

We’ve all seen the clothes-rail-as-headboard idea, but personally, I’m not sure I could sleep with all my clothing hanging over my head. In this smallest bedroom, the bed is hugged by 3 walls, while a clothes rail, hung at high height, sits above a pair of chests of drawers. The only thing this layout “gives up” is the surface area on top of said chests, and I think it’s a good trade.

With minimal floor space, you’ve got to think creatively about storage. You can’t go outwards, but what about up or down? A platform bed with storage below or a high-level hanging rail in lieu of a traditional closet are both options that will eke out a bit more function from your small bedroom.

Similarly, use the space along your walls. A wall-mounted TV instead of one on a unit, a small shelf in lieu of a bedside table, or sconces instead of bulky bedside lamps.

A small bedroom often means at least two sides of the bed are against a wall or at least have minimal space around the perimeter. This can be particularly annoying for changing the bed—especially if you insist on a top sheet and layers of blankets. Make like the Europeans and go for a fitted one plus duvet only; this will shorten the amount of time you’re cursing your small room. Don’t worry, it’ll still be cozy.

Finally, a small bedroom needn’t be a boring one. Working with what you’ve got, think cozy and warm rather than spare and minimal. While you don’t want clutter, a bit of color and texture via pillows and throws, as well as good lighting, can go a long way to making a small space feel special.

Those pesky small living rooms always have us stumbling and second-guessing what we should do to make the most of the floor plan. If you’ve ever struggled with how to arrange your furniture then you now have a hand draft to follow.

Say goodbye to your Storage Problems with these genius ideas

If you live in a small house, you must know how to use available space smartly. This is exactly when smart storage ideas come in handy. The storage ideas we emphasize in this article will help you organize the household items neatly and let you live a peaceful, unobstructed life.

Fortunately, there are all kinds of genius storage solutions you can incorporate to make the most of your space. From art to ottomans, so much in your home can be transformed into additional storage with a little time and creativity.

“Hey, you’ve got to hide your love away” sang John Lennon, and the Beatle knew what he was talking about. We all love clothes, shoes, scrapbooks, and toys, but the snag is that they take up a whole bunch of space. The answer? Hide ‘em!

Hiding your stuff doesn’t have to look ugly. Head down to the store and get some smart storage solutions that can also double up as seating.

Not all items to be stored need be in view. Furniture tricks — here, a table skirt with a pretty pattern — help to hide shelves, baskets, and the like for a clean look that still boosts storage.

Bathroom storage is an art form unto itself. Just take a stroll around Bed, Bath & Beyond. You will lose three hours looking at gadgets you never knew you needed but now just have to own. Basket storage in your bathroom is a cheap and clever way to keep everything organized.

A narrow and tall bathroom storage cabinet with a pull-out module can accommodate a number of bathroom essentials. By selecting a thin and tall storage cabinet, you can utilize a small amount of floor space and still store many items).

When your thinking about storage in your small apartment, you have to be crafty and of course thrifty. Hang everything on the wall! You will be amazed at how much space you save, and with the right creative eye, how good it looks!

You can get creative as well.  Floating shelves on exposed brick look great. Rather than fill up an already cramped space with tables and dressers for additional storage, opt for floating cabinets like these. They’ll store nearly anything you can imagine without taking up any floor space or overwhelming your aesthetic.

Shelves are the secret weapon in your personal storage war.

A shelving product can be very handy particularly to store items like pictures, souvenirs, and even books.

To gain more storage out of small spaces, take a fresh look at surfaces. For example, the second tier of full-depth shelves or a secondary cabinet may not make practical sense. But a narrow addition such as this notched-back shelf can offer room for canisters that keep oft-used items close at hand.

Due to their bulk and abundance, shoes can be a major headache when it comes to cramped quarter organization. But with some creativity, tucking them away in even the tiniest of spaces is totally doable.

A dresser with pull-out drawers like these is a storage fiend’s dream come true. It’ll look great in your living room, provide extra surface area, and keep the order you’re craving.

Besides, you can use behind the door shoe holders are cheap. Which is a win! Also, you don’t have to use them for just shoes, put whatever you want in there! T-shirts, underwear, all of the clutter you have from that one draw. Tear up the storage rulebook, you are the storage master!

Kitchen storage can be the toughest organizational task to tackle them all. But with a little time and ingenuity, it’s easier than you might think.

Create kitchen zen. So we know that balancing your big city dreams, not going broke, and staying healthy is going to require you to cook. So get your kitchen clutter in order. A pegboard and some hooks are a great way to hang your pots and pans, open up space, and get your perfect kitchen layout.

Small-space living isn’t without its advantages—it’s cozy, easy to clean, and makes finding anything that’s gone missing a whole lot easier. That said, anyone who’s in tight quarters knows that living in a little nest has its disadvantages too, especially when it comes to storage.

Make your Bedroom unique with these Decor ideas

Choosing furniture for your bedroom depends on both the atmosphere you’re trying to create and the number of functions you’re trying to accommodate in that piece of real estate – for example, some parents like to keep their bedroom as a solely adult preserve where children may enter only with permission, in other families the parent’s bedroom is a second family room where parents and kids snuggle up and lounge around on evenings and weekends.

Naturally, the first piece of furniture you need for your bedroom is the bed – and not only do you need to decide on the size from full to queen to king but also whether you want a frilly four-poster or an austere platform. Since today’s bedrooms are all about comfort and luxury, choose the largest bed that will logically fit in your space (nothing looks odder than a huge bed in a tiny room, however, so if a king won’t fit without going wall to wall, settle for a queen.

Without any further ado, here are our top picks for revamping your bedroom.

The color white is an expansive and practical choice for a small bedroom. It keeps the space from looking too busy or boxed in. Using white or lighter colors combats the absence of large wall space or windows to brighten up space.

Afraid of being too stark? To keep your small bedroom from feeling cold or void of personality, layer your whites with different textures and white-on-white patterns for drama.

A few inches of extra space can be vital in a small bedroom. Part ways with your footboard-style bed frame and replace it with a simple modern headboard to finish the look of your bed.

Or, opt for a Hollywood-style frame that supports the bottom of the bed and extends no further than the perimeter of the mattress.

Give your guests and yourself a place to relax and unwind with a cozy reading nook or desk area. This is a great, no-pressure way for them (and you) to enjoy some personal space during their visit.

Add a bookcase with old and new tomes for guests to peruse, and even include a tray stocked full of goodies like coffee, tea, and snacks.

It’s these finishing elements that can truly make space feel homey for visitors.

Add space to your bedroom by paring it down to your favorite essentials. The focus of this space is undeniably the bed, so keep furniture pieces and accessories down to a minimum.

Even better, use sleek, contemporary built-ins for additional storage. Built-ins maximize storage while looking like they’re not even there. A good built-in around your bed creates a cozy sleeping nook while adding plenty of storage.

No matter the season, give yourself the hotel treatment by readying your bedroom with a basket stocked with extra linens, pillows, and blankets.

Think cozy cashmere throws, cable-knit blankets, and fluffy pillows for winter, or linen sheets and cotton throws for the warmer seasons.

You also might want to have a lounge area with a table and chairs where an intimate meal can be served (or kids can color, for that matter.) The bedroom is also often the only room for an exercise area or machine. Whether that consists of a mat and a rubber ball or a complete weight machine, treadmill or exercise machine is up to you.

Set-up your bedroom up for success with a handy place to stash clothes and toiletries

A stylish dresser and pair of nightstands is a great place to start! Also, consider pulling in a woven hamper to easily toss used towels and linens. This simple addition majorly ups the decor and comfort factor.

If you’re in the market for a new bed, consider a bed with drawers underneath for extra storage. If space is so limited that drawers may not open easily, use decorative bins under your bed for additional storage.

While modern and luxurious design ideas often tell you that you need to have a sitting area, small office, or a king size bed in your bedroom, don’t forget that a bedroom’s main function is to be a place to rest and recharge. And you don’t much to create a beautiful space to do so.

Make your Home more Luxurious for cheap with these Tricks and Tips!

Everyone wants to have a home which looks luxurious but they don’t have that many funds to beautify it like a millionaire. So, to decorate your home you have to spend some money on beautiful lamps, rugs, and fancy lights. Decorating your living room must be your topmost priority as this is the first room where guests have to make an entry.

Well here are some key tips to make your home more luxurious

Painting is not a very expensive idea and it brings out a clear difference in your room. You should select the paints according to your personal taste and depending upon the requirement of the room. Adding a bold color or choosing a lighter shade for the room entirely changes the feel of it and it improves the environment a lot.

If you want your home to look more classy, it may be wise to pick a very neutral color like cream, pastel blue, or light grey. Light colors make a room feel larger. Furniture and artwork also stand out more. Dark or non-traditional colors make a room feel cozier, but it can also be distracting. Many luxury homes use creams, browns, and honey shades to paint their first floor. Bold colors are usually used on more private rooms such as the bedrooms, or bathrooms.

In general, pay attention to the rooms and furniture in your house that could benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Updating older items can make them feel brand new.

When you were a teenager, hanging a poster on the wall was totally acceptable. As an adult, it just feels very cheap and immature. If you want your home to be more luxurious, it may be time to invest in some art. The good news is, art doesn’t have to cost hundreds of dollars per piece.

One should think about to give your room a wow factor by hanging a beautiful piece of art on one of the walls in your space. This can give a stylish look to your space with little difficulty. You can have a look to buy some beautiful painting in some economical stores or you can even make a painting if you want to. You can also decorate one of your walls with family pictures. It will give the feel of your home, but you don’t need to decorate each and every wall of your home.

Most luxurious homes are spotless because they place their furniture in a way that is clutter free. Hide your clutter in baskets and decorative bowls. Create a theme for each room. See-through bookcases, shelves, and nooks are your best friend. Place antiques, pictures, or anything of value on open display.

You may not have a designer to arrange the space in your home, but you can certainly take a cue from them. Skim through design magazines and look at all the wonderful nooks and crannies that they portray. You will notice that when a room is well-designed, everything has a home and a purpose. There is no clutter in a hotel or well-organized room.

No matter how expensive your home may be, it’s all for nothing if you can’t even see it. Pay attention to the lighting in your house, especially at night. Remove any furniture and push back thick curtains that may be blocking natural light in the daytime. Add lamps in dark spaces, and swap out your existing light bulbs for new ones. You would be shocked to see just how bright new LED bulbs actually are.

Begin with the big overhead lights in your home. Do you love them? Are they modern? Is the light too harsh? Consider changing out-dated overhead lights with modern, sculptural light fixtures that speak to your decor. It is also best to have a dimmer installed on these overhead lights. Dimmers are the key to mood lighting.

For letting greenery in, you can place vases or bowls of greenery around the house. This will revitalize a dull room. A bowl of artificial fruit in any room can be used to liven up the monotonous environment. A vase full of flowers, acorns, twigs, or any element of nature added to a room is a sure-fire way to add class and elegance.

You only get one chance to make a good first impression, and your guests will judge your home immediately upon opening your front door. Even if you have been in and out of your home a million times, you still have a subconscious reaction to your entryway.

It’s best to start with a small entryway table. Whether it be marble, wood or shiny lacquer, the entryway table can be your starting point. If you have room, a large round table makes a dramatic statement when floated in the middle of an entry. Then add to this table: a pretty lamp, a bowl to contain a few collected knick-knacks, some books or other things that appeal to your tastes, and of course, a pretty flower arrangement.

Luxury homes always have vast, open entryways that welcome you into the home. They are always clean and organized. If you have kids, and it’s a necessity to take your shoes off at the door, consider buying a shelf or a cupboard that will hide away the mess.

On a tight budget, it is obviously very difficult to create a truly luxurious home or living space. But with right tricks and techniques, you can at least create an illusion of a serene and luxurious home. You can do that by what interior designers call it as ‘The Art of Displaying’. With a few antique and vintage decor pieces and displaying your belongings tastefully, you can deceive or illude them into thinking that you have spent a fortune into making your home wonderful luxurious living space.

When some people hear “antiques”, they imagine walking into a museum where every piece is worth thousands of dollars. But there are actually tons of amazing antique and vintage pieces out there. Incorporating even just a few older pieces into your home decor looks a lot posher than using all brand new stuff you bought

In luxurious homes, they don’t have huge collections in their living spaces. Not everyone looks like they live in a magazine. They just know how to display their belongings in a tasteful way. Try creating vignettes, or clusters of items that have a common theme. Donate any items you can really live without, and try to focus on displaying your favorite things.

A tight budget should never stop someone from designing his or her own home for comfort and luxury. After all, home is where you really are yourself. To start your remodeling all you really need is efficient planning, a handy hardware shop, and a little elbow grease.
